About Playground Clearing House

Paul Hogan, founder and president of Playground Clearing House, has been involved in virtually every aspect of playgrounds since 1958, including design and construction, safety inspection, accident evaluation, and surface testing. Please read Paul's curriculum vitae for further information.

The next generation has recently joined the team. Paul's son Orin Hogan has been certified to conduct impact testing on your playgrounds.

Playground safetyOver the past 15 years, Playground Clearing House has had a close working relationship with both Alpha Automation of Trenton, NJ and the Canadian Playground Advisory of Mississagua, Ontario.

Paul Bamburak, founder and president of Alpha Automation, is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. He and Paul Hogan spent 15 years on R&D resulting in the development of Triax 2000 and its acceptance by ASTM.

Playground surface testingRolf Huber, president of Everplay, is well known in both the United States and Europe for his work on developing resilient surfacing for playgrounds. He has been a major player in the Harmonization Committee on both sides of the border to bring ASTM and Canadian Standards together for a unified standard recognized by both countries. Rolf Huber and Paul Hogan have been associated for over a decade in promoting surface testing in North America.
